A new all-terrain tire for light trucks, SUVs and crossovers has been announced by manufacturer Nokian Tyres. The Outpost AT has been designed to provide drivers with a versatile and durable tire for on- and off-road driving.
The tire benefits from an aggressive tread pattern with canyon cuts at the intersection of the tread and shoulders to improve grip and handling levels on a variety of surfaces including slush and snow.
The sidewall features peaks at the top edge to deliver extra grip when vehicles travel on soft terrain, and the tire is three-peak certified, denoting its ability in ice or snow.
Outpost AT has been reinforced with Nokian’s Aramid Shield – aramid fibers embedded beneath the tire’s tread to enhance puncture resistance and durability. Gravel guards within the tread pattern improve puncture resistance further, guarding the tire’s grooves against damaging attacks. A sturdy construction also enables the tire to support high load capacities.
A sustainable rubber compound increases fuel efficiency and reduces emissions due to low rolling resistance, and the company’s patented Driving Safety Indicator displays the percentage of remaining tread.

We have spent years designing and testing this tire, incorporating new features that will make it a durable, versatile option on and off the road.”
Nokian will produce the Outpost AT in sizes ranging from 15 to 22in, with 45 fitment options. The tire will also be available in LT and SUV versions.
