Nitto Tire USA has developed its first tire for side-by-side vehicles – the Nitto Trail Grappler SXS. Sharing technology and design details with the Nitto Trail Grappler light truck tires, the Trail Grappler SXS brings performance and reliability to the powersports market.
Proprietary Nitto technologies carried over from the Trail Grappler tires include reinforced shoulder grooves, which are designed to give better off-road handling performance without sacrificing tread block stiffness, and computer-designed tread blocks for optimal mud and dirt evacuation from the tread.
“Nitto Tire is excited to enter the booming powersports market with the Trail Grappler SXS. We’ve drawn on our years of experience in race-winning and proven off-road tire construction to bring signature Nitto performance to an entirely new market segment,” said Angelo Naval, Nitto Tire USA’s senior director of product planning and business development.
The Trail Grappler SXS’s performance has been tested in the harshest possible conditions in both high-speed desert running and technical rock crawling.
It will be available initially in size 30 x 9.5 R15 and 32 x 9.5 R15.
