Maxxis is celebrating the successful launch of two new passenger car tire lines in 2018.
“Last year was a great year for everyone involved at Maxxis, particularly in the car tire segment where we launched our high-performance sports tire the Victra Sport 5,” said managing director Derek McMartin.
“Alongside the Premitra 5 and our all-season offering the AP2, these products are really elevating our tire range to the next level, allowing motorists to obtain top performance without the over-inflated price tag.”
Maxxis’s Victra Sport 5 is made using innovative materials and construction methods. Thanks to this, the tire is said to provide excellent handling when traveling at high speeds, as well as extra strength, achieved with a newly optimized sidewall construction. A highly dispersed silica compound in the tread improves vehicle fuel consumption and delivers high grip in wet conditions.
The Premitra 5 meanwhile, is said to provide good straight-line grip and handling, thanks to the outer shoulder blocks on the tread, alongside the central ribs, which provide excellent stability at high speeds. The special tread design also offers enhanced water dispersal and resistance to aquaplaning.
“Thanks to our sustained investment in the car tire market, we’re looking forward to yet another successful year, where drivers will be able to exercise the pure control and durability provided by Maxxis high performance tire range,” added McMartin.
