Linglong Specialty Tyres has launched the new Crane Primacy and Mix Traction series, designed for mobile crane and heavy-duty dumper applications. The new lines have been designed to offer improved performance, stability, wear resistance and longevity.
The Crane Primacy tires are specifically designed for heavy mobile cranes, which typically feature a multi-axle design. These cranes need to be able to travel at speed when in transportation mode and navigate tight corners, which puts a lot of stress on the tire sidewalls. Improvements in the irregular wear patterns and reinforced ribs connecting with circumferential blocks are said to improve highway performance and a non-directional tread design contributes to improved fuel efficiency.
Mix Traction tires are designed for heavy-duty dumpers operating in quarries and surface mining environments. This series features what Linglong calls an “improved self-cleaning tread design” as well as a strong carcass, enabling the tires to provide high levels of traction and stability on soft and muddy ground, even under heavy load conditions. The deeper tread depth and new compound ensure wear and cut resistance.
“We have invested a lot of engineering time and effort in improving the performance of our Crane Primacy and Mix Traction tires,” says Jean-Paul Spijker, director, sales and marketing, Specialty Tire Europe at Linglong. “In these new series we have incorporated a lot of the feedback from the market, both from operators and drivers. Thanks to the new design, strong carcass and improved compounds, we can now offer some of the best performing mobile crane and dump truck tires at very competitive rates, for the OEM and replacement markets.”
