Hankook Tire has introduced onto the European market its SmartFlex AH35 and DH35 all-season tires, which recently won the 2016 Red Dot Design Award.
The upgraded SmartFlex AH35 is designed for the steer axle but is suitable for all positions, and the DH35 for the drive axle. With these new tires, Hankook says that fleet operators and freight companies will profit from increased fuel-efficiency, high mileage and powerful traction.
The multi-3D sipes anchored in the tread of the SmartFlex AH35 provide high levels of traction. The combination of straight and wave-shaped grooves improves water run-off and sustainably prevents the occurrence of aquaplaning. The stiffness of the tread blocks helps fuel-efficient operation and the special tread design also supports even tire wear out.
The SmartFlex DH35 features a tread with a wide contact area with four zig-zag groove lines across the whole tread surface, which increases mileage and improves driving performance in various road and traffic conditions. The 3D sipes ensure strong traction and low rolling resistance.
