Goodyear has released its latest US market tire, the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive all-season. With 73% of drivers in the USA planning to drive long distances this summer, Goodyear claims that the new tire will provide an added level of comfort thanks to the use of the company’s ComfortFlex technology.
The release of the tire follows a Goodyear survey that revealed that 80% of people traveling over the summer months will do so in a personal vehicle, with 65% of drivers estimating that their road trips will exceed 200 miles (321km).
“The new Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive arrives just in time for Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start of the summer road trip season, and is designed to deliver a new standard of comfort for those traveling near and far,” said Andrew Lau, Goodyear’s product marketing manager, North America. “Drivers can expect a smooth, quiet ride on the Assurance ComfortDrive thanks to its ComfortFlex technology that helps absorb ride impact, and a noise-reducing tread pattern that helps lower sound levels from the road.”
The new tire will be available in 44 sizes ranging from 16-20in rim diameters, for applications such as passenger cars, minivans, CUVs and SUVs.
