Goodyear has launched the Cooper ProControl, an all-season tire designed for application to a multitude of vehicle types including commuter touring coupes, saloons and sports utility vehicles.
The Cooper ProControl has been engineered to provide improved wet handling and a longer service life; it features Even Wear Arc technology, which ensures a balanced pressure at the tire-to-road contact area, and larger polymers within the tread compound to further enhance tread life and durability.
The all-season tire also features water evacuation grooves to help clear water to reduce the chances of aquaplaning and for enhanced grip when driving on wet surfaces.
To ensure grip is provided throughout the ProControl’s entire service life, Goodyear designed sipes which widen as the tire wears to maintain traction levels. The manufacturer also implemented its Armor Belt technology to deliver “the stiffness and strength needed for a crisp steering response”.
“With every commute comes uncertainties, sometimes as unpredictable as the weather,” said Michiel Kramer, director of product marketing, Goodyear. “That’s why we engineered the all-season Cooper ProControl to help take the ‘what ifs’ out of your journey with optimized handling and traction delivering a confident and in-control driving experience wherever the road takes you.”
The Cooper ProControl is available in 60 sizes ranging from 16in to 22in.
