Michelin has announced the latest addition to its Agilis tire family, the Agilis HD Grip D tire. Engineered for reliable traction and handling in diverse weather conditions, including rain and snow, this tire is designed to provide year-round driving confidence.
It replaces the Michelin XDS2 tire for commercial and medium-duty vehicles.
The Agilis HD Grip D tire is a traction-oriented drive tire suitable for all seasons. It meets the 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake requirements, indicating its capability in severe snow conditions.
“The Michelin Agilis HD Grip D tire is particularly well suited for Class 3-6 work trucks,” said Pierluigi Cumo, vice president of B2B marketing for Michelin North America. “Additionally, this tire delivers up to 35% better snow traction performance compared to leading competitors.”
Developed to handle the torque of a drive position, Michelin says the tire provides excellent traction through all seasons. In some regional and on/off-road applications, it can be used in all positions, particularly on 4X4 vehicles.
The tire is also retreadable, with options available from Michelin Retread Technologies that fit the 19.5in casings, including popular drive tire retreads such as MD XDN2, XDS2+, XDE M/S and XDHT.
