Linglong has released details of its latest tire range, the Master series, which consists of three summer tires aptly named the Comfort Master, Sport Master and Grip Master CS.
Linglong says that the tires feature a number of unique technologies including the company’s third-generation resin formula, which it claims increases wet grip. They also have a tread pattern that assists in wet braking scenarios by expelling water from the tread to improve traction. According to the company, the revised tread pattern has a steady-state pressure and tension balance design alongside blanking sipe technology, which widens the contact area of the tire by 3% compared with the previous generation of products. Thus, the Master series is claimed to achieve 4% greater traction than its predecessor. Linglong states that Idiada field testing has confirmed that the wet traction of the Master series is in class A on the EU tire label.
Alongside these three variants, Linglong is also releasing a studless Nord Master winter tire featuring a soft tread compound and what the company describes as a ‘gecko-like bionic pattern design’ to further improve snow and ice performance.
Designed for the European market, the Master series is currently entering production and is expected to be available to consumers later in 2021.
