Through a partnership with TIS Offroad, Hercules Tire and Rubber Company has launched the TIS TT1, an all-season mud tire designed for jeeps and light trucks.
Featuring two different shoulder designs, the TT1 benefits from an aggressive tread pattern to ensure the tire delivers excellent grip in extreme off-road scenarios. Additionally, the new tire features bolstered shoulder lugs and a reinforced three-ply sidewall for additional durability.
The tire’s tread block geometry and void ratio work in partnership to ensure mud, rocks and water are expelled efficiently to provide a high level of grip and performance on tough terrain. The duo has also optimized the tire’s profile shape to provide a footprint that balances pressure distribution for even wear and an extended service life. A stair-step tread design also improves the tire’s self-cleaning capabilities to prevent stone drilling.
The TIS TT1 will be available in 19 high floatation sizes with an overall diameter range of 33in to 37in and will fit wheels with rim diameters from 17in to 26in.
“This tire combines Hercules’s proprietary compound, off-road traction and reliability with a unique price point,” said Myles Kovacs, president and founder, TIS Offroad. “In addition to providing the tire in core sizes, it will be available in wider sizes for enthusiasts. And by offering it to the entire ATD network, Hercules will also be able to tap into more of the TIS Offroad customer base.”
The new Hercules tire line will begin a phased launch in the middle of November 2022.
