The Laufenn LF95 trailer tire for regional haul applications has been unveiled by Hankook as an extension of its second-line Laufenn brand range.
The LF95 has been engineered by Hankook with a wide tread and deep tread grooves to provide traction and effective water evacuation in a range of driving conditions. Wide and stiff shoulders have been developed to ensure a higher mileage over the LF95’s service life by enhancing grip and stability to reduce uneven tread wear.
Hankook has also included its stone ejection technology within the tire’s tread grooves to stop sharp objects – such as stones or debris – drilling into the grooves, reducing the chance of a puncture occurring. The tire manufacturer has also designed the trailer tire with a low rolling resistance to ensure it offers fuel efficiency.
Designed as an all-season tire, the LF95 features the M+S and 3PMSF markings, denoting its capabilities in cold weather scenarios. The tire is already available in Europe in a size 385/65R22.5 and the tread can be regrooved to extend its service life.
“With the LF95, we’re addressing the needs of small and medium-size companies, offering them a tire with an excellent price-performance ratio which is designed for high fuel efficiency and durability,” explained Guy Heywood, vice president marketing strategy, truck and bus, Hankook Tire Europe. “Our customers benefit from the brand’s many years of experience and get a product which meets the highest quality standards.”
