Goodyear has unveiled the high-performance, all-season Cooper Cobra Instinct tire. It was developed by the company’s engineers with an asymmetric tread pattern to deliver improved traction and grip and shorter braking distances in wet and snow-covered scenarios.
To enhance sustainability, the Cobra Instinct’s tread compound no longer features petroleum-based materials and now contains soybean oil instead. This helps keep the tread pliable to ensure it delivers grip in colder climates.
In addition, the all-season tire has been engineered with sweeping tread grooves to enhance water evacuation. Goodyear also designed the Cobra Instinct with a lightweight carcass to improve responsiveness.
The Cooper Cobra Instinct is available in 25 sizes to suit 17-20in rim diameters.
“Outfitted for a range of high-performance sedans, CUVs, SUVs and muscle cars, the Cooper Cobra Instinct was built to unlock vehicle performance and deliver confidence and control to drivers behind the wheel,” said Michiel Kramer, director of product marketing at Goodyear. “This tire is designed to keep up with drivers and the quick decisions they make on the road, without sacrificing wet-weather performance or sleek design.”
