Goodyear has announced plans to introduce 95 new SKUs for its Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 summer tire.
With the European car market shifting toward SUVs, driven in part by the increasing adoption of electric and hybrid powertrains, Goodyear predicts a compound annual growth rate of 5.5% in the SUV market from 2022 to 2027. To accommodate this, the tire maker is focusing on sizes 19in and above for the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 range.
More than 30% of the new SKUs feature Goodyear SoundComfort and SealTech. SoundComfort technology is designed to minimize noise. SealTech can automatically seal tread punctures up to 5mm in diameter, according to the company.
Sonia Leneveu, director of marketing consumer Europe at Goodyear, said, “With the growing complexity in the market and the continued rise in demand for SUV fitments, we are glad to be offering our award-winning Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 in its most complete line-up ever.”
