At the SEMA automotive trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Goodyear has revealed it will deliver 14 additional sizes across the Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek and Discoverer STT Pro tire portfolios.
The Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek is a floatation tire which benefits from deeper tread blocks to deliver better traction and weight distribution for vehicles due to it holding a larger air mass. The latest 37×12.50R20LT size Discoverer Rugged Trek tire makes up one of 10 additional sizes which have gradually been added to Cooper’s portfolio since the summer months of 2022. Further sizes will be added until the first quarter of 2023.
The Cooper Discoverer STT Pro portfolio will also be expanded with four newly developed flotation sizes consisting of a 35X12.50R22LT LRF, 33X12.50R20LT LRF, 35X12.50R18LT LRD and a 35X12.50R17LT LRE. The tire features Cooper’s Armor-Tek3 carcass construction which increases durability to prevent damage when being used off-road.
“While Cooper currently covers the vast majority of mud terrain tire sizes in the market, tire enthusiasts now have an even bigger, stronger tire assortment to help them travel off-road with confidence and stylize their vehicle,” said Michiel Kramer, executive director of product marketing, Goodyear. “The line extension into more enthusiast sizes is a direct response to the success of the Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek, which has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from consumers.”
