The Powerload tire portfolio, designed for construction, loading, logistics support and landscaping applications, has been launched in North American markets by Goodyear. The tire range benefits from a high level of durability and traction to ensure it delivers performance in challenging work scenarios.
Technologies featured in the Powerload include Smooth Guard Technology for improved cut resistance and casing protection in the tire’s shoulder and sidewall areas; and flange cover protection to prevent soil or other objects from entering the area between the tire and rim.
Other notable design aspects include a reinforced sidewall construction for enhanced stability and manoeuvrability and reduced bucket sway when carrying out loading operations. The tire’s non-directional tread design ensures excellent forward and lateral traction and self-cleaning properties, and a deep shoulder tread depth delivers a higher mileage over the tire’s service life and a lower cost-per-hour to the operator.
The Powerload tire is currently available in sizes 365/80R20, 365/70R18, 405/70R18 and 405/70R20. Goodyear intends to expand the number of available sizes in late 2023. The Powerload tires are also electric drive ready, enabling fitment to electric, petrol or diesel-powered vehicles.
“The Powerload line-up lends versatility and toughness to any application thanks to the specially designed features and innovative technologies incorporated in the new line-up,” said Loic Ravasio, general manager, Goodyear Global & Americas OTR. “Without a doubt, Powerload will help drive productivity and efficiency wherever it’s put to work.”
