Giti Tire has developed a bespoke tire for the 2018 British Truck Racing Championship, and is sponsoring Team Oliver Racing.
The Giti Race-Tuned v1, which is available to purchase by any team in the 2018 Championship, is sized at 315/70 R22.5. The tire’s tread has been specially designed so that pressure distribution across the footprint is even, in order to improve cornering and braking performance.
Other design features include unique outside and inside shoulders, two longitudinal grooves and advanced sipe shapes, orientation and distribution. The racing compound incorporates a special polymer that helps to provide better grip; a distinct functional resin for good handling; and optimized carbon black/silica blending for increased tear resistance.
