US tire maker General Tire is launching four new dimensions of its Grabber AT3 for campers, expanding its portfolio of C- and CP-type all-terrain off-road tires. There will be three new sizes of the Grabber AT3 C-type and one CP-type.
The C marking indicates that the tire has a reinforced carcass, making them particularly suitable for use on trucks, vans, motorhomes and campers. These specialized tires are known for their enhanced load bearing capacity. For instance, a General Tire Grabber AT3 C-type tire can withstand loads ranging from 975kg (load index 107) to 1,450kg (load index 121), depending on the tire dimensions. The tires are engineered for high levels of robustness, a trait that is crucial for bearing the substantial loads imposed by heavy vehicles.
“With the introduction of the new sizes of the Grabber AT3, we are offering even more flexibility and safety to a wide range of camper enthusiasts, both on and off road,” said Matthias Bartz, business development manager for General Tire in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Our new sizes fit popular motorhomes such as the Volkswagen T6, Renault Master or Fiat Ducato, as well as classic motorhomes like the Hymer B-Class.”
