Continental has launched three all-new MTB tires in April 2025, designed to provide riders with increased performance, durability, and grip. The three new tires, Dubnital, Trinotal, and Magnotal, replace the Race King, Cross King, and Mountain King ProTection, and sit alongside the Gravity range.
Dubnital is engineered for dry to damp conditions and is ideal for rocky, hardpack, and medium-loose soils. A direct successor to the Race King’ Dubnital features a cutting-edge tread and advanced rubber compounds.
Designed for versatility, Trinotal excels in dry to wet conditions and handles a mix of hard and loose soils. Replacing the Cross King, the new tire is suited for XC and downcountry riders.
Magnotal is built for aggressive all-mountain and trail riders, and is suited to dry to wet conditions, with excellent handling on hard, loose and muddy soils. As the direct successor to the Mountain King, the all-rounder tire bridges the gap between gravity and XC/DC riding.
Conti’s expanded MTB range now spans eight models.
Commenting on the launch, Alexander Haenke, product manager for MTB and gravel at Continental Tires, said: “With the introduction of Dubnital, Trinotal, and Magnotal, we are proud to complete the overhaul of our MTB lineup, finally replacing our iconic ‘Kings’. The new models now seamlessly fit into the nomenclature and logic of our Gravity range tires, and give riders the freedom to use our portfolio as a playground to create their perfect setup. We’ve tested these tires with gold-medal-winning athletes to ensure they perform at the highest level — now it’s your turn to push their limits. While our technology has already been proven in the world of gravity, we’re excited to see how riders take them to new heights across other disciplines.”
