Bridgestone Americas has released the Greatec M847 wide-base radial all-position tire. It has been developed to deliver durability and long service life for fleets in urban applications.
The manufacturer has redesigned the tire with deeper grooves in the tread and a compound developed specifically for urban use to provide good wear characteristics and a low rolling resistance. Stone rejector platforms and wide shoulder grooves help prevent groove cracking and stone damage to belts, thus improving retreadability.
The Greatec M847 can be paired with Bridgestone Bandag retreads to reduce operating costs and the tire’s overall environmental impact, maximizing fleet uptime and sustainability. To improve retreadability, Bridgestone’s latest all-position tire features Waved Belt technology and a Turn In Ply design to promote wear-out performance and casing durability.
