Nova Motorsport has debuted the new ACB11 rallycross tire at the Loheac round of the 2024 French Rallycross Championship (FFSA Championnat De France Rallycross). The new tire is produced at Nova Motorsport’s factory in Portugal, following the same construction as its successful predecessor, previously manufactured by the Avon Motorsport and Cooper Tires brands.
ACB11 has had an illustrious past with victories at different rallycross championships. Until now the ACB11 has 10 FIA World Rallycross Championships, over 20 successive European crowns and numerous national titles to its name.
To maintain manufacturing consistency and product quality, Nova Motorsport moved 200 lorries of equipment from the Avon factory in Melksham, UK, to its new facility in Portugal. This facility also features a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory, which will be used to replicate the previous tires and develop new ones. The ACB11 will be available for the start of the 2025 season.
Nova Motorsport commercial director James Weekley said, “We are delighted to bring back the ACB11 for rallycross competitors across the globe. Rallycross is one of the fastest, most exciting and most competitive, some might say most combative, forms of motorsport on the planet.”
Nova Motorsport senior product category manager Matthew Vincent commented, “Our new laboratory helps us to more effectively utilize the unparalleled experience in our technical teams and combine it with the specialist compounding expertise of our parent company SPC. This means we can both precisely replicate the tires made at the previous Avon Motorsport factory in Melksham and develop innovative new formulations that will enable us to create further championship-winning tires in the future.”
