Nova Motorsport, a global tire brand and licensed manufacturer of Avon Motorsport tires, has been announced as the title sponsor for the 2024 French Rallycross Championship (FFSA Championnat De France Rallycross).
The nine-round series resumed on May 25 at Faleyras in southwest France.
Nova Motorsport says the partnership shows its dedication to rallycross and supports its ambition to become the top tire choice for global motorsport and high-performance, low-volume applications.
Nova Motorsport will continue to supply the multiple-championship-winning ACB11 rallycross tire while also developing new solutions.
James Weekley, Nova Motorsport commercial director, said, “Nova Motorsport is delighted to become the title sponsor of the 2024 French Rallycross Championship. The series is widely regarded as one of the strongest in Europe, and rightly so.”
The company is establishing a new global center for research, development, and manufacturing at its Camac production facility in Portugal, which was acquired last month. It plans to begin a testing program for rallycross tires manufactured at the new facility later this year.
Jean-Jacques Benezet, president of the Association of French Rallycross Organizers, added, “While the name of Nova Motorsport may be new on the world motorsport stage, the team members behind the company are very familiar to and highly respected by everyone in French rallycross. We look forward to working closely with Nova Motorsport to create an even more exciting championship for competitors and fans alike.”
This sponsorship marks Nova Motorsport’s fourth motorsport partnership, following its involvement in the RallyX championship, Peter Auto historic racing and the British Hillclimb Championship. The brand also supports numerous other championships through its global dealer network.
