Vipal Rubber has celebrated the achievements and growth of one of its Monterrey network members in Mexico, Llanco. Recently the retreader opened its second unit in the country, in Nuevo Laredo, in the state of Tamaulipas.
The plant began operations in early May, with a production capacity of up to 2,200 retreads per month. With the new factory’s opening, the retreader expects an approximate growth of 50% in the first year and 100% in the second year.
The location was chosen strategically and linked to the demand in the region: the city, northwest of Mexico, borders the USA and has a high concentration of transportation companies, which often require Vipal services.
According to Jean Barros, Vipal Mexico and Central America’s commercial manager, the partnership with Vipal, which was established three and a half years ago, has brought significant benefits to Llanco.
“Llanco has always focused on its processes and customer support. With the partnership, it has found a company capable of offering strong support and promoting good practices. In addition, as part of the Vipal network, the retreader started working with the brand’s high-quality products, providing a more complete and aggressive commercial proposal, with a direct impact on sales,” Barros said.
The relationship between the two is also of great value to Llanco, noted Francisco Lopez Stille, Llanco’s general director, “Thanks to the partnership, we can offer technical advice, high-performance products and cutting-edge technology. Thus, we have been able to operate with a first-class service, exceeding our customers’ expectations.”
