Tire manufacturer Jinyu Tire has begun production of its first truck and bus radial (TBR) tires at its new factory in Vietnam, which will have the capacity to produce up to two million tires annually.
During nine months of construction during the country’s rainy season and the Covid-19 pandemic, 19 buildings were built covering an area of 130,000m2 . The tire maker also installed the equipment and other facilities needed to complete the production line, ready for volume manufacturing to begin in May.
The Vietnam facility is Jinyu’s first overseas production base, and features a range of automatic safety control and intelligent production management systems to enable continuous improvements to company products.
With the establishment of the facility, Jinyu aims to strengthen its global supply chain and provide a solid base for further globalization strategies, alongside being able to provide products and services to more customers internationally as well as in the Vietnamese market.
