Jimo municipal party secretary Zhang Jun, Mayor Lv Tao, vice municipal party secretary Wang Baoshang and vice Mayor Ju Chaoyou recently visited Sentury Tire in Qingdao to learn more about the company’s new aviation tire factory, which is currently being constructed and will be outfitted with intelligent systems.
Sentury Chairman Qin Long and President Lanny Lin also accompanied them. Long talked them through both the Sentury Qingdao factory and Thailand factory conditions and the aviation plant.
Sentury said it will create an ‘ingenious’ machinery layout and building design, and integrate an intelligent management system, which will see the facility become one the first industry 4.0 factories with intelligence, automation, information and individuation. The whole product lifetime can be monitored from R&D, raw material, mixing, through to component building, inspection and storage.
Thanks to these new systems, production volume will increase by 50%, qualification rate will increase to 99.8%, labor will decrease by 75% and the amount of land needed to build the factory is saved by 50%.
Municipal party secretary Jun, who visited with around 100 other Jimo government officers, spoke highly of the intelligent management systems being installed at the aviation plant.
