Cooper Tire & Rubber Company will reopen its manufacturing plant in Melksham, UK, in the first half of June.
The Wiltshire facility primarily manufactures motorcycle and racing tires, and has been temporarily closed since late March due to COVID-19.
Tire production is expected to restart by June 15 with health and safety measures including employee disclosures, increased cleaning and disinfection of facilities and equipment, physical distancing, physical barriers and visitor restrictions.
Similar procedures have been put in place at Cooper Tire’s plants in China, the USA and Serbia, all of which have reopened and are in various stages of increasing production according to demand.
