Goodyear and TÜV SÜD have partnered to integrate Goodyear CheckPoint – a connected, yard-based, drive-over tire inspection solution – into the TÜV SÜD Digital Vehicle Scan (DVS) inspection system.
The TÜV SÜD Digital Vehicle Scan uses sensor technology to assist appraisers in creating in-depth vehicle health reports in addition to making vehicle acceptance and return processes more efficient. Goodyear’s CheckPoint drive-over tire inspection system can read tire condition and vehicle parameters to provide fleet managers with actionable insights, making the process of checking or inspecting tire pressure and depth much quicker, with automated inspections carried out in a matter of seconds.
By integrating CheckPoint with Digital Vehicle Scan, TÜV SÜD can now offer a much more comprehensive vehicle and tire report, enhancing safety and efficiency for users and businesses by way of predictive maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime and unforeseen costs.
“Integrating Goodyear CheckPoint into the TÜV SÜD Digital Vehicle Scan offering will provide users with a holistic view of their vehicle’s condition, enabling proactive maintenance and enhancing overall performance,” said Piotr Czyżyk, managing director of proactive solutions Europe at Goodyear. “This is consistent with our Goodyear Total Mobility offering, which is all about providing worry-free mobility solutions and taking fleet management to the next level.”
“TÜV SÜD is committed to driving innovation and continuously improving solutions to meet the evolving needs of the automotive industry,” added Maximilian Küblbeck, CEO of TÜV SÜD Auto Plus. “This collaboration confirms our vision of advancing vehicle inspection, maintenance and safety standards.”
