Bridgestone Americas has opened its new Operations Center in Antioch, California. Inside the 77,000ft² Operations Center, which is home to 450 experts, there are social hubs, kitchens and cafes, and both sitting and standing work spaces. Floor space is designed to mimic streetscapes to promote communication between employees.
Bridgestone Americas’ new downtown headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, Bridgestone Tower, is scheduled to be operational as of September 1.
The investments in these two facilities will bring the total number of Bridgestone employees in Nashville and Antioch to more than 2,200. The Bridgestone Operations Center and Bridgestone Tower will bring together the company’s four core business units: Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations; Bridgestone Retail Operations; Firestone Building Products; and Firestone Industrial Products.
“The vibrant environment in Antioch is the perfect home for the Bridgestone Operations Center. Hundreds of our teammates in financial shared services, IT and customer support now call Antioch home, and we are looking forward to being an active part of this community. It is the first step this year in bringing all of our core business operations to Nashville,” said Gordon Knapp, CEO and president of Bridgestone Americas.
