Beumer Group will be giving live demonstrations of its Tire Tray System at Tire Technology Expo this year (booth 8050), which takes place in Hannover, Germany, on February 20-22.
This technology uses a fully automated process, which delivers higher productivity and efficiency compared with conventional systems. The system automates the transportation, sortation and storage of green tires within a single tray system virtually eliminating the risk of green tires being damaged or deformed during the build and finishing processes.
As each tire leaves the tire building machine, it is loaded into its own individually controlled tray. The tire then remains in the same tray to be stored or transported directly to onward processing. The fully automated system avoids additional handling and eliminates the need to grip, lift or reposition the tire which can compromise the quality of the finished product. This results in an intelligent and safer method of handling green tires.
“There has been significant interest in this concept from within the tire manufacturing sector. One major global tire manufacturer has already installed the system and is using it to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing process,” commented Jens Rosenberg, director of tire handling, Beumer Group.
