Falken has expanded its summer tire line-up with the Ziex ZE310 EcoRun. Thanks to an extensive redesign, the successor to the Ziex ZE914 offers improved traction and grip on both wet and dry roads, as well as low wear performance.
Developed with Adaptive Constant Pressure (ACP) technology, the tire uses a simulation process to guarantee tread profile and evenly distributed contact patch pressure. This means greater stability and even wear.
Available in two treads depending on the size and speed rating, the narrower versions (up to 195mm) feature a three-groove design to optimize tread rigidity and contact area. For tire widths over 205mm, a four-groove tread is utilized to improve water evacuation and aquaplaning resistance.
Engineers at Falken used Advanced 4D Nano Design technology throughout the ZE310 development process, giving the tire an innovative compound which offers optimum mileage and efficiency as well as improved running characteristics. All this means a 30% greater wear life.
“The Ziex ZE310 EcoRun is designed for drivers with a sporty style who nevertheless appreciate comfort,” said Andreas Giese, product planning manager, Falken Tire Europe. “This new addition has expanded our portfolio into particularly high-demand sectors.”
Falken’s newest summer tire will be available from spring 2018 in 40 sizes from 14-18in, in series 70–40 and speed ratings H, V and W. A further 58 sizes will follow during the year.
