Hankook Tire has been chosen as original equipment supplier for the Audi Q7 range, including the recently launched SQ7 TDI. Together with its Q7 sister models, this vehicle will optionally be fitted with the tire maker’s ultra-high performance Ventus S1 evo² SUV tire in size 285/35 R22 106 Y XL all round.
To meet the car maker’s requirements, Hankook engineers developed a special tread pattern and adapted its silent tire technology, badged sound absorber, for this application. A special noise absorbing polyurethane foam inlay sheet is applied to the inside of the tires and is then bonded by a thin layer of Hankook’s Sealguard material.
