Nokian Heavy Tyres has acquired Finnish heavy equipment wheel company Levypyörä Oy, which has an annual net sales of approximately €18m (US$20.1m). With its two business lines – wheels and steel structures – Levypyörä serves several original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers in forestry, agriculture and earthmoving applications.
“With the acquisition, Nokian Heavy Tyres can offer innovative new solutions to its existing customers, increase wheel volume, as well as improve its service. Levypyörä has been a trusted partner of ours for many years.
