Maxam Tire has formed the Maxam Mining Group, a global team focused on off-road tires for the open pit mining segment. The employees in the new group are industry-leading experts from multiple continents with a deep understanding of developing tires to meet regional market demands.
The group will develop site-specific tire compounds and casing designs and will focus on the utilization of leading technology to improve mining machinery’s safety, performance and quality.
All mining products are produced in multi-staged, custom-designed building equipment, ensuring consistent construction and minimal disruption of the casing during the curing process. These products are also screened for internal defects as part of a standard inspection, according to Maxam Tire.
Matt Johnson, who has been appointed as vice president of the Maxam Mining Group, said, “We pride ourselves in delivering solutions with the lowest cost per hour/ton and provide long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships with our customers and our partnerships that only begins at the placement of Maxam products.”
