The board of the European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) has approved Linglong’s application to become a full corporate member of the association with immediate effect.
“Welcoming Linglong Tire to ETRMA is a great step toward enhancing the collective strength of our industry in Europe,” said ETRMA president Chris Delaney. “Their participation will undoubtedly contribute to ETRMA’s efforts to foster a competitive and resilient tire industry in the EU.”
Linglong Tire was established in China in 1975. It offers a wide range of tires for passenger vehicles, commercial trucks and specialty applications. Last September, it began mass production at its factory in Serbia.
Feng Wang, Linglong Tire president and CEO, added, “We look forward to contributing to ETRMA’s efforts to create a competitive industry landscape that benefits all stakeholders. Europe is a crucial market for us, and our membership signifies our long-term commitment to the region.”
Welcoming Linglong Tire, ETRMA secretary general Adam McCarthy said, “The association’s membership continues to grow to represent a diverse array of key players in the tire and rubber industry, underscoring the sector’s role in driving Europe’s competitiveness agenda.”
ETRMA now has 14 global tire manufacturers as members, producing tires and operating in Europe.
