Bridgestone has been named in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSIWorld) for the first time and the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index for the seventh consecutive year. These indices, maintained collaboratively by S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM, measure the performance of the world’s sustainability leaders based on a comprehensive analysis of long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.
Bridgestone attributes its high ranking to its focused efforts on environmental and economic initiatives. Bridgestone achieved the highest score in the auto components industry sector in the environmental category and the maximum score of 100 in two environmental assessment criteria: climate strategy and environmental reporting.
