Bridgestone Americas is to open a new facility in Nashville, Tennessee, in addition to its new headquarters currently being built in downtown area of the city. The Bridgestone Americas Service Operations Center (BASOC) will be located in the Antioch area of Davidson County, and will open in Q1 2017. It will be home to approximately 450 employees and contracted resources supporting the company’s IT, customer service and shared business service departments.
The BASOC will be housed on the second level of a former Sears building that anchors the global mall on Hickory Hollow Parkway in the Antioch neighborhood. Bridgestone is planning an exterior renovation to bring in additional natural light, along with infrastructure improvements in the parking area. The 77,000ft2 interior will be retrofitted to optimize the work environment for the teams that will be housed there.
“Southeastern Nashville is an area currently experiencing a surge of revitalization and job growth,
with similar operations being established by several other companies and the development of new
retail and residential opportunities,” said Gary Garfield, executive chairman, president and CEO, Bridgestone Americas.
