John Sawaya (left) has been named the new president and CEO of Arlanxeo USA and chairman of the board of directors at Arlanxeo Canada.
Meanwhile François Le Roy is to leave his position as MD and CFO at Arlanxeo Switzerland to take on the role of CFO at Arlanxeo USA and member of the board of directors for Arlanxeo Canada.
Sawaya takes over from Antonis Papadourakis, who has been president and CEO at both Lanxess and Arlanxeo since the joint venture between the two was established in April 2016. Papadourakis will now be able to focus solely on Lanxess.
“The new leadership appointments reflect the beginning of an exciting evolution for Arlanxeo North America in 2018,” said Jorge Nogueira, global CEO for Arlanxeo.
“John and François will continue to strengthen our position and build our organization in this key region. I am looking forward to continuing our sustainable market development with this dedicated leadership at the helm.”
