Standards Testing Laboratories, an independent test facility for tires, wheels and related automotive components, has appointed Dave Martin as director of technology. In this position, Martin will provide tire testing services for customers and represent STL on various technical committees.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, and has 30 years of experience in the tire industry, including various engineering positions at Cooper Tire, Goodyear, Hankook Tire and Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, in road and race tire development.
