President and CEO of the Yokohama Tire Corporation Jeff Barna has announced that Jeremy Kahrs has been appointed vice president of research and development at the Yokohama Development Center America (YDCA) facility in Cornelius, North Carolina.
Kahrs – who previously held the position of director of R&D at YDCA – will now be responsible for all daily operations at the development site.
“Jeremy’s technical expertise, along with his passion for engineering, and his strong dedication to support the R&D team have greatly contributed to YDCA’s success,” explained Barna said.
In his new role as vice president of research and development, Kahrs will report directly to Barna.
The former YDCA vice president, Tom Kenny, will now take on an executive technical advisor role which will see him defining and overseeing strategic projects while supporting YDCA development.
“Tom has been instrumental in establishing YDCA as a true technical center for the US,” said Barna. “In this new capacity, he will continue to work closely with the development team to make recommendations on future development, product testing and quality improvements.”
