An ambitious expansion of the Test World facility in Finland will increase the capacity for testing on natural snow and ice with three additional indoor areas.
The length of the extended facility will enable Test World to test brakes on passenger cars at higher speeds than is possible in the existing space. The adjustable temperature and humidity will give an advantage to development, certification and labeling testing for tires by enabling greater environmental control.
Customers can already test tires and vehicles on natural snow at Test World 12 months of the year. The proposed expansion will create three additional indoor areas, doubling the amount of indoor testing space. Time to market remains important to both tire and vehicle manufacturers and Test World’s indoor facilities enable testing to be performed in Europe reliably, in controlled conditions, at any time of the year. Test World’s extensive know-how and management of the testing surfaces ensure excellent, real-world results.
