A look back at TTI’s anniversary year, including the thoughts of contributors past and present
In this day and age, for a magazine to reach 30 years of publishing is no mean feat. So as Tire Technology International’s 30th birthday rolled around in 2023, we started a year-long series of lookback articles, reconnecting with those who have shaped the magazine, and those who continue to do so – as well as sitting down with founder Tony Robinson, who explains why he set up the magazine all those years ago.
In our March issue, we spoke with former editor Graham Heeps, who recalled his first brush with the secrecy machines hard at work at the heart of the industry, and how he’s seen the industry evolve. You can read Graham’s article here.
In our July magazine, former deputy editor Rachel Evans looked back on nine years of reporting on the tire industry, and recounted some of the luminaries she’s had the chance to interview during her time at TTI. Head over to read Rachel’s article here.
In our October issue, UKi CEO and founder of TTI Tony Robinson cast his mind back to the decision to create a magazine covering the tire business, some of the key voices during the evolution of that idea, and how he’s seen the tire industry grow and develop across decades. You can find Tony’s thoughts here.
And, finally, in our current November issue, you can hear from technical editor Joe Walter – a man who has been an expert guiding light across decades of TTI, and who still continues to act as a font of knowledge and expertise today. You can read Joe’s article here.
