Porsche selects Nexen N’FERA RU1 rubber for the Macan

Nexen has been selected to supply Porsche for the Macan SUV with N’FERA RU1 tires in sizes 235/55 R19 101 Y and 255/50 R19 103 Y.

The Porsche Cayenne is also equipped with N’FERA RU1 rubber, which is said to provide excellent cornering stability and handling for high-speed driving. The tire also features Nexen’s 3D-Nano Grip technology, which maximizes the braking capability of vehicles at high speeds. Aramid hybrid cap ply cord and a special bead filler compound enhance handling stability.

“We are thrilled to be supplying original equipment tires to sports car manufacturer Porsche. We will continually strive to improve the quality of Nexen Tire products and technology and expand our OE supply base to more global car makers. With our new manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic soon to be operational, we will be better able to provide OE tires that cater to the needs of European car makers,” said Travis Kang, CEO of Nexen Tire.
