SHOW LIVE: Schubert & Salzer offers reduced curing times

Also exhibiting at Tire Technology Expo 2013, on stand 7010 is Schubert & Salzer Control Systems, which is showcasing its latest sliding gate control valves that are a standard solution in tire manufacturing and the first choice for shaping and HP steam applications. The compact construction and simple installation mean that maintenance and replacement of the accessible disc pair is easy.

The unit features a very high control accuracy through intelligent positioners and quick reaction times due to the short stroke. The accuracy that can be achieved in the temperature control often allows the curing time per tire to be reduced, whilst a more compact and integrated positioner means that no additional remote I/P converter is needed, resulting in no continuous consumption of control air.

Regulation can be optimized or adjusted by changing the Kvs value by means of replacing the fixed disc only. The quick opening time allows time-optimized filling of the bladder, whilst short control paths reduce internal wear. Optimized flow guidance within the system means that wear in cavitation applications is minimized, whilst a wide range of different pressures can be regulated by the same valve and additional pressure reducers are not needed.
